The European AIDS Clinical Society is proud to announce its scholarship programme for the 17th European AIDS Conference. This year, it has been extended to offer more opportunities to HIV professionals to attend the Conference.

We believe that it is essential to engage individuals working in the field of HIV/AIDS from various settings and professions. Different sources of funding and support are making this possible.

Scholarships for European clinicians and physicians

These scholarships will be supported by an independent educational grant from ViiV Healthcare. Can be considered for these scholarships: European healthcare professionals who can either show scientific interest in the Conference or whose participation will benefit their patients, who are speakers or co-authors of abstracts presented at the Conference, and who can share learning to a larger community as they are teachers.

These scholarships will include registration, travel and accommodation arrangements and will be administered by the Conference Secretariat.

Scholarships for European public health experts

These scholarships are available this year thanks to the support of the Federal Office of Public Health, Switzerland.

Scholarships to basic and translational researchers/scientists

EACS is willing to strengthen basic and translational sciences within the Conference and is receiving support from the canton Basel-City (Basel-Stadt), Switzerland, to offer these scholarships.

Scholarships for allied professionals, community members, and other service providers involved in HIV/AIDS

As every year, EACS wishes to give the opportunity to allied professionals, community members, and other service providers involved in HIV/AIDS from resource-limited settings to attend the Conference. Part of these scholarships will be covered by private donations.

The scholarships may include all or a combination of the following components:

  1. Registration to the Conference (including access to all sessions and exhibition)
  2. Travel (round trip from the nearest international airport)
  3. Accommodation in a budget hotel for the days of the Conference

The number of scholarships available is limited, we therefore advise applicants to pursue additional funding options.

Registration and travel and accommodation arrangements will be organised through the Conference Secretariat, in accordance with the conference travel rules.

(Note that scholarship applications must be submitted in English. The information provided on this application form will be treated as confidential. Applicant information will be used only for the purposes of reviewing and selecting scholars.)
