Гепатит

Среди пяти гепатотропных вирусов, вирусы гепатита B (HBV) и C (HCV) представляют собой основную проблему для общественного здравоохранения во всем мире, включая ко-инфекцию с ВИЧ. Однако при использовании высокоэффективных противовирусных препаратов прямого действия гепатит С стал излечимым, тогда как HBV, если не предотвратить инфицирование с помощью высокоэффективной вакцины, может привести к хорошо контролируемому, но пока неизлечимому хроническому гепатиту. Воодушевленная этими достижениями, ВОЗ определила цели по ликвидации вирусного гепатита как угрозы для общественного здравоохранения к 2030 году. На этой сессии будут представлены текущая эпидемиологическая ситуация, стандарты оказания медицинской помощи и другие вопросы, связанные с гепатитом В и С, с особым акцентом на ко-инфекции с ВИЧ.

Speaker biography:

Mojca Maticic is Head of the Viral Hepatitis Department and Head of the STI Outpatient Service at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases and Febrile Illnesses, University Medical Centre in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She is also a Full Professor of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. After gaining her medical degree, Professor Maticic specialised in internal medicine and in infectious diseases at the University of Ljubljana, before completing a masters in HIV/aids and PhD in hepatitis C.

Subsequently, she undertook international postdoctoral training at the Middlesex Hospital and Royal Free Hospital in London, UK. Her research interests focus on viral infections, primarily viral hepatitis and STIs. 
An active member of numerous professional societies including Policy&Public Health Commission of EASL, a Scientific Board of INHSU and European Study Group for Viral Hepatitis at ESCMID, she is an advisor for the Viral Hepatitis Prevention Board (VHPB), and served as an advisor for the WHO HIV/Viral Hepatitis/STI Committee. In Slovenia, she is a member of the HIV/aids Committee of the Ministry of Health and leads the National Viral Hepatitis Expert Board. She co-authored the National strategy for the management of HCV infection (in 1997), the national clinical practice guidelines for HCV and HBV infections, and co-founded the National Healthcare Network for HCV management in PWID (in 2007). She authored or co-authored more than 450 articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
