Presentation synopsis:

Results of the European pilot audit on Hepatitis screening, prevention and management in people living with HIV

In order to develop a mechanism for services to measure the quality of care they deliver, and compare it at a national and regional level, a pilot is being undertaken in five countries to assess the feasibility and usefulness of an EACS Standard of Care audit. This is the first in a series of planned audits and will examine care in relation to hepatitis screening, vaccination and co-infection for patients attending HIV services in Georgia, Germany, Poland, Romania, and Spain. It will report on both the services’ policy in relation to these standards and the care delivered to eligible patients as determined by case note review. All data will be anonymized and will also include feedback from the services about the audit process in order to improve the methodology for future audits.
